Located about 40miles south of Estacada off Clackamas Highway (Hwy 224), Bagby Hot Springs is a natural wonder of the Pacific Northwest.
From the Earth to your Tub |
The hot springs includes three distinctive bathing
sites. The most common bathing site
supports 4 communal tubs in a row. Each wood carved tub holds anywhere from 4-6
people, of which 2-3 will most likely be nude. If you are searching for a more
private soak, there are 4 wooden stalls housing individual or couple sized tubs
dug out of large logs.
Group Tub |
A third tub was recently constructed about 100
yards downstream and is supplied by a different water source. This site, my personal favorite, contains one
large tub for groups.
Starting from the Bagby Trailhead, the hot springs is only
1.5 miles away. If you are camping overnight at Bagby, I suggest hiking an
additional ¼ mile down in route to numerous creek-side camp spots.
There are several campsites in closer proximity to the hot springs. However, the
nighttime tub-goers can get a bit rowdy and may keep you up all night.

Make sure to explore, there's plenty to see!
