Wahclella Falls

Distance: 1 mile out and back
Wahclella Falls is a splendid break along I-84 (Exit 40).  If you are headed to Skamania Lodge, Hood River, Pullman (Go Cougs!), or anywhere along Highway 26, seriously, take 25 minutes (1 mile RT) to checkout Wahclella Falls. You won’t be disappointed!
Wahclella Falls

While on the trail, you'll have just one decision to make. The trail splits about a quarter mile in, giving you the opportunity to approach the falls from the left or right. I suggest you choose left.  The left side approach will lead you straight to the edge of Wahclella's plunge pool. 1/4 mile along you will turn a corner and before you know it, BOOM! You are basking in its power! Approaching from the right delivers a direct and constant vantage point of the falls, removing any effect of surprise.
Ad-lib Water Fall
Recommended on a rainy day! Wahclella will be more powerful and additional water falls will form on the valley walls.

If you have more time, challenge yourself by summiting MunraPoint next door.
